Immunology in Israel is at the highest world standards. Specialists at Top Ihilov Clinic, who have mastered the most modern diagnostic methods, will be happy to assist you in the early diagnosis of any diseases and deviations in the functioning of the immune system.
The antinuclear antibody test (ANA - antinuclear antibody test) is one of the common blood screening tests. In a normal state, the immune system produces enough antibodies for the body to fight infections; however, antinuclear antibodies often attack the nuclei of the cells in our own tissues.
If the antinuclear antibody test is positive, it may indicate an autoimmune reaction or an attack by the immune system on the body's tissues. However, this test can sometimes yield a positive result in completely healthy individuals.
The antinuclear antibody test may be prescribed to patients suspected of having one of the autoimmune diseases such as:
- lupus
- rheumatoid arthritis
- scleroderma
