Stopping the Tumour's Blood Supply. Nutrients necessary for the growth and development of the neoplasm enter through the renal artery. The embolization method involves blocking this artery, after which the pathological neoplasm gradually degrades and disappears. The procedure is also minimally invasive: without cutting tissues, a catheter is introduced through a puncture in the femoral artery, which is transported through the vessel to the renal artery (under ultrasound control). There, the catheter delivers micro-particles-emboli that close the lumen of the vessel and disconnect the tumour from the blood flow.
FUS Ablation. Another non-surgical method of destroying neoplasms in the kidneys that does not require even tiny incisions on the body. Ultrasound waves of a specified length pass through tissues and organs and negatively affect only the pathological focus, destroying it through rapid heating of the tissues.
