A world-renowned specialist in pediatric neurosurgery. A graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a specialization in microbiology. Konstantini completed his residency at Hadassah Medical Center in the field of neurosurgery. He participated in research in neurotraumatology conducted at New York University. There, he also worked at the pediatric neurosurgery center alongside Fred Epstein. He has extensive experience in performing surgical interventions for brain tumors in children and adult patients. Konstantini is one of the leading specialists in treating hereditary brain pathologies in children, as well as serious structural abnormalities in newborns' bone structures. The professor heads the international neurofibromatosis center and holds leadership positions in other medical associations: president of the Neuroendoscopic Federation and a member of the executive committee of the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery. In 1996, Konstantini founded the neurosurgery department at the Dana Pediatric Clinic. Since then, numerous surgeries have been performed here to treat various brain pathologies in children: endoscopic interventions for tumor removal, treatment of bone structure disorders, treatment of hydrocephalus using endoscopic procedures, and treatment of congenital anomalies. In his medical practice, Konstantini uses V-Smart technologies, which are based on delivering medications across the blood-brain barrier, allowing for high treatment efficacy. The nanoscale structures of such medications can pass through the epithelial walls of the intestines and other biomembranes.
