Ehud Raanani is one of the leading representatives of Israeli cardiac surgery, with over twenty years of professional experience. He currently heads the Department of Cardiac Surgery and the Thoracic Department at Shiba Medical Center, and is also a leading specialist at the Assuta Medical Complex.
The professor's professional activities are related to echocardiographic diagnostics, coronary bypass surgery, valve replacement, bicuspid valve repair, arrhythmia treatment, and more.
Raanani is a graduate of the medical faculty of Tel Aviv University, where he specialized in cardiac and vascular surgery at Rabin Medical Center, and later completed a fellowship in aortic aneurysm treatment in Canada. In the United States, he trained in echocardiography techniques and bicuspid valve surgery.
Later in Austria, he completed a fellowship in myocardial vessel restoration, and in 2006 he trained in heart valve repair in Germany.
Professor Raanani is the founder of the vascular surgery department at Rabin Medical Center. Thanks to him, the latest equipment was acquired, enabling the clinic to perform the most complex heart surgeries. Here, congenital heart defects are corrected, aortic valve transplants are performed, neck arteries are bypassed, and more.
His active medical practice does not prevent the professor from sharing his experience with medical students, as he lectures at the medical school of Tel Aviv University.
