Tarantino visited his wife and newborn son at the Israeli Ichilov clinic

Iconic American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino was recently spotted in the lobby of the hotel complex at the Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv, where on February 22, his wife, renowned Israeli singer Daniela Peleg, gave birth to their son. The 56-year-old filmmaker, who has become a father for the first time, does not hide his happiness and talks about life in Israel.
It became known last summer that the star couple was expecting a child, nine months after their lavish wedding, which they held in Los Angeles. The last few months of pregnancy were spent in Israel, Daniela's homeland, and they chose one of the largest and most prestigious clinics in the country – Ichilov – for the birth.

Their choice is not surprising. Both celebrities and ordinary citizens increasingly prefer Israeli hospitals for the birth of their children. Expectant mothers and their partners are attracted by the high level of medical care, the professionalism of Israeli doctors and midwives, comfortable conditions, attentive staff, the ability to plan births, and reasonable pricing policies.

Among other advantages of giving birth at Ichilov are safety (the maternal and neonatal mortality rates here are among the lowest in the world) and the ability to independently determine the nature of the upcoming birth, as long as obstetric circumstances and the woman's health do not interfere. The conditions for mothers offered by the maternity wards of public hospitals in Israel are comparable to VIP service in private clinics in many foreign countries. They are, by the way, the same for both Israeli citizens and mothers from other countries.
The room is equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable stay of the young mother and child: a comfortable bed with an emergency call button, a shower and toilet, a changing table, a dresser with disposable diapers, hygiene products, blankets, towels, and clothing for the newborn, and a climate system that maintains a comfortable temperature for the woman and her baby. The infant can stay in the room with the mother or in a special box, from where they will be brought for feeding. The child's father or a close relative may be present in the room.

In Israeli clinics, mothers are provided with five meals a day, which are included in the cost of their stay. An individual diet is prepared for each mother, which includes all the essentials: meat and dairy products, fish, vegetables, and fruits. Israeli maternity hospitals strive to ensure that the infant receives a full range of vitamins and minerals along with the mother's milk from the very first days of life.

These and many other advantages of giving birth at Ichilov influenced the choice of the star couple Tarantino. Recall that the couple met in 2009 in Israel, where the American director came as part of the world promotional tour for his film "Inglourious Basterds." According to Quentin, he fell in love with the beautiful Daniela, daughter of popular Israeli musician and composer Tzvika Pik, at first sight. The couple's relationship was not easy, marked by long pauses, but in 2018 they finally decided to formalize their relationship, throwing a noisy party in Hollywood for the occasion.
Last autumn, Tarantino and his pregnant wife moved to Tel Aviv, renting spacious apartments in one of the city's most prestigious neighborhoods. In local media, the director admitted that he is enchanted by Israel, its kind and friendly residents, and shared how happy he is to spend evenings with his wife in her homeland. "Here I can live a normal life that I never had before. And it's so great!" – shared the filmmaker, admitting that he could very well stay in Israel forever.
