Professor Bikels Yaakov is a practicing surgeon. His main areas of expertise are oncology and orthopedics, covering all types of pathologies related to these diseases. He studies all types of bone diseases, their treatment methods, and their causes.
He trained at two institutes in the United States, at the University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. He practiced at the Tel HaShomer Medical Center. During his career, he served as the head of the department and chief physician at the Ichilov clinic and the National Center for Oncological Orthopedics at the same clinic.
He has been accepted into the Association of Orthopedists of Israel and several international organizations engaged in the development and implementation of diagnostic and treatment methods for cancer diseases. He teaches at the medical faculty of Tel Aviv University.
