Zamir Galperin is one of the most well-known and successful representatives of the gastroenterology field in Israeli medicine. He is the head of the gastroenterology department at Ichilov Hospital and a practicing physician at Assuta Hospital. His areas of expertise include invasive endoscopy and treatment of the gastrointestinal tract.
Galperin graduated from the medical faculty of the University of Jerusalem, where he also completed his internship. He enhanced his qualifications at Tel Aviv University and specialized in internal medicine.
He began his medical practice at Edith Wolfson Hospital, where he later headed the gastroenterology department. Professor Galperin trained at the Royal London Hospital in the field of hepatology. In Cleveland, he was not only a practicing physician but also engaged in research activities.
Zamir Galperin received his professorship at the medical faculty of Tel Aviv University, where he conducts teaching activities.
Upon returning to Israel, the professor became the head of the gastroenterology department at Ichilov Hospital, and shortly thereafter, he became the deputy director of this medical center.
